About the Mamta Malhotra and Jewels Amore.

A love for jewels has always been my trademark hence the Jewels Amore.

I grew up with a burning passion for gemstones, curious about the mystique behind the glitter.

This thirst for unfolding the magic and myths embedded within these beautiful minerals led me to the doorsteps of G.I.A, (Gemological Institute Of America), the world famous institute for gems And Jewellery.

I graduated as a gemologist and jewellery designer, to start my onward journey into a trade with an eternal brilliance.

My spiritual guidance brought me to India in 1990. In search of a lost soul buried within the traditions and culture of a rich artistic country Inspiring at each facet of life & destiny carried me forth to form Jewels Amore to fulfill a dream & purpose to life.

Adarsh Mishra, with an Idea to began a Portal called Handmade World!

Adarsh Mishra, came up with the Idea of reviving the Art of Hand Hade Products and came up with an Idea to began a Portal called Handmade World!

THE BEGINNING

A quest to keep traditional Indian handmade crafts from dying out brought Entrepreneur Adarsh Mishra, the idea to began Handmade World.

Indian Artisans are recognised across the world, yet contemporary Indian design doesn’t appreciate Indian crafts and locally available materials.  So, he has figured out a way for it to survive is by adapting it to modern times, “says Adarsh

THE IDEA

Utilizing the craft of inlay in expensive handmade rugs with techniques of knotting, dying, painting, printing, etc., to achieve the traditional and modern rugs through unison of function and aesthetic techniques quips Adarsh

The PROCESS

With a set up in a small town Gopiganj (UP) which comes under the carpet belt near to Varanasi Uttar Pradesh) and another in New Delhi, his team coordinates with the craftsmen directly. His organisation works with different Artisans, depending on the product, material and techniques, “ says Adarsh.

We source the materials ourselves, but at times our craftsmen suggest material and techniques on which our team work together to create innovative designs”.

THE HUDDLES

“Since all our products are handcrafted, no two are the same, which customers don’t understand. This has been quite a challenge for us to overcome.

Pricing the products has also been an obstacle, since similar, cheaper products are made from the similar material, but the quality we use is of a higher grade as we don’t believe in creating mass produced stuff’

WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS

Available in India through an online portal www.handmadeworld.in

Soon we would be tying up with multi-label stores, holding art exhibitions and even E-tail on renowned portals says Adarsh
