Born in Hyderabad, Monisha is known for her taste for bespoke tailoring, impeccable cuts, research in details, and simplicity of lines. The result comes in timeless silhouettes, a mix of Indian charm and elegance in an almost sculptural way. She completed her fashion degree in London and returned to India as a chic prêt-a-porter stylist. Her label, ‘MONISHA THAHRYAMAL’ was established in 1999 and soon she brought home the Young Achiever Award 2002 by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan. Highly satisfied and copiously pleased by the Gota work, Monisha has been highly successful in reviving the traditional work in various forms. Her ‘Gota’ creations are known to flabbergast her audience. She is also the Preliminary Member of Fashion Design Council of India. Her flagship store, Monisha Thahryamal, is located Crescent at The Qutab, New Delhi – India.
